The Download Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Headliners at this year’s four-day fest (which is underway and will conclude on the 11th) at the Donington Racetrack/Park in England, are Metallica, Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot with support from Disturbed, Evanescence, Halestorm, Alter Bridge and Ghost, among others.
The event started as Monsters of Rock Festival that ran from 1980 to 1996. Seven years after the event’s demise it was revived as the Download Festival.
Slipknot has been named the festival’s headliner four times (‘13, ‘15, ’19, ’21 & ’23)… more than any other act.
