Brian Setzer (Stray Cats) has released an animated music video for “Girl On The Billboard,” the first single from his “The Devil Always Collects” album, available September 15th.
“It’s an old truckers song,” says Setzer of “Girl On The Billboard.” The song was popularized by Country singer Del Reeves. The 1965 release was his only #1.
“At first I wasn’t getting the sound I wanted until I picked up my Gretsch 1957 Duo Jet 6131 Firebird,” added Setzer. “I mean, the sound is monstrous, dirty and twangy.”
