Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” has surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify.
The band’s signature six-minute opus originally appeared on their 1975 album “A Night At The Opera.”
Singer Freddie Mercury referred to “Bohemian Rhapsody” as a “mock opera” that resulted from the combination of three songs he had written.
The song topped the U.K. singles chart for nine weeks (plus another five weeks following Mercury’s death in 1991).
In the United States, the song peaked at #9 in 1976, but reached a new height of #2 after being included in the 1992 film “Wayne’s World.”
“Bohemian Rhapsody” was also prominently featured in the 2018 Queen bio-pic of the same name.
