Courtney Barnett's debut full-length album, "Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit" arrived in March, '15.
Prior to that the Australian musician was in a Garage Grunge band named Rapid Transit and a Psych/Country outfit called Immigrant Union, a musical project founded by Brent DeBoer of The Dandy Warhols and Bob Harrow. Later, DeBoer played drums on Barnett's debut EP "I've Got A Friend Called Emily Ferris." The EP came out on Barnett's own label Milk! Records.
Barnett's second EP "How To Carve A Carrot Into A Rose," with lead single "Avant Gardener," earned some international recognition and favorable press.
Those two EPs were subsequently merged into a single package logically titled, "The Double EP: A Sea Of Split Peas."
Next came Barnett's full-length effort with the single "Pedestrian At Best," which took down music biz phonies ("you're a joke but I don't think you're funny").
